“How much does a web app cost?” usually gets the consultant answer: it depends. It does depend — but that’s a scoping problem, not a pricing problem, and it’s ours to solve, not yours.
The trick is the scoping call
Before we quote, we run a structured scoping session: what the product must do on day one, what can wait, where the data lives, and what “done” means. The output is a short spec both sides sign. That spec is what the fixed price covers.
What happens when scope changes
It will — and that’s fine. Changes get their own mini-quote against the same day rate we publish on our pricing page. No surprise invoices, no “we’ll true it up at the end.”
Why smaller teams can do this
Big agencies carry project managers, account directors and office space into every estimate. We’re three founders who build. That’s the entire overhead structure, and it’s why our fixed prices land where other agencies’ hourly estimates start.
